Beauty Basics

I have recently gotten into more of a natural makeup look and I am amazed of how it has helped boost my confidence! So I thought I would share what products I have been using to spread the secret!

Revlon Color Stay Foundation - I am very picky with my foundations because of my oily skin, so trust me when I say this one is a keeper! You can wear it as a light coverage or build it to full coverage. It DOES NOT move! I don't wear a primer under it, but if you have dry skin I would recommend using a hydrating primer underneath. It is comparable to Too-Faced Peach Foundation, which is saying a lot! It comes in many shades, which is so important because everyone has different skin undertones. Plus, you can't beat the price!

Wet N Wild Hello Halo Highlight - This is a staple. Period. It adds the perfect amount of natural glow and has a beautiful shimmer effect. Buy it!

Revlon Candid Setting Powder - This is by far my favorite drugstore powder! It doesn't give you a yellow shadow under your eye ( you know what I'm talking about). It melts into your skin and makes your makeup stay in place!

Tarte CC Under-eye Concealer - I can't rave about this concealer enough! Recently I have struggled with watery eyes and some/most concealers add to the problem, but not this one! If you have more dry skin, I wouldn't set this with a powder. You can also use this as a corrector before putting on foundation. The blend is AMAZING. I use the shade, "light- medium". You can apply with a beauty blender or your finger!

Tarte Amazon Clay 12 Hour Blush - Looks natural and so easy to blend! The shade I have is, "quirky". I think the most important thing to look for in a blush is how well the shade matches your natural skin tone, making it look like you are literally blushing and not going to an 80's prom. Sorry peeps, just keeping it real.

L'OREAL Brow Stylist Definer - I'm a believer in cheap brow pencils, because in my opinion they all get the job done. I like how precise the tip on this one is and the brow brush is very helpful! I use the shade, "light brunette".

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - This one deserves a round of applause. When I tell you no other mascara will compare, I mean that.

I started using this mascara when Lindsey Regan Thorne (shout out to you lady), recommended it in one of her blog posts. Since then, Benefit has been making a killing off of me.

Pros- It does not clump, it lengthens my lashes, rarely ever smears, and the wand feels gentle on your lashes.

Cons- I'm addicted.

I Heart Revolution Lip Gloss- You will find one of these in my car, purse, and makeup table. I use the shade, "salted caramel", and yes, it is as yummy as it sounds. This shade matches my natural lip color and feels so good on. It is affordable and long-lasting.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope some of these products work for you and I encourage you to find the natural look to make you feel like a BOSS in your own skin!

Much love,
